Seeing a concert of one’s favorite artists is always a pleasure! Seeing it in a different country is almost surreal! In order to get tickets for the John Legend Concert at Olympic Hall, I had to have a Korean assistant at work help me buy them.
Olympic park is absolutely beautiful! The taxi dropped us off right at the main entrance. We enjoyed strolling through the park under rare Seoul sunshine. We saw the Olympic Torch from 1988 and enjoyed watching the Koreans roller blade, skateboard, etc. Olympic park has tons of fun sculptures-which made for great photo opps!! Unfortunately we didn’t have that much time to bum around the park and had to make our way to the concert.

We picked up our tickets, got a 6-pack of Korean beer and went inside. They weren’t selling any concert merchandise-only these ugly light up wands. We were getting pretty antsy when, They shut all of the lights off....John walked through the middle of the floor seats with a spotlight on him. He was wearing black jeans, a white collared shirt, a black tie, a black leather jacket, and shades.
He opened with "Used to love U". It was GREAT!! The band was on it!! He had a ton of energy, sat down at the piano for some love songs....he tried to stop with "Green Light"....but there was a curtain call-he came back out in a suit and did "Ordinary People" and "If you're out there" He played most of my favorites and had great stage presence.

What makes it better is that after the show, we were able to mosey our way to the stage. We got some pictures with band members and were even invited to the after party. After the concert-being goofy...we hung around the back door with a few other crazy fans. I got a great shot of Mr. Legend. We did attempt to go to the party at Intercontinental Hotel....we got to the lobby, only to find out that we were in THE WRONG HOTEL! We should have went to the GRAND Intercontinental Hotel!

It was an amazing evening full of great sounds and heightened emotions!
