The purpose for our trek was because Jason saw an advertisement for Bungee jumping. I’m always up for an adventure, but will admit that I had my reservations considering that it only cost 25,000 Won (about $22.00). We could have taken the subway for an hour and a half, but opted to shell out the extra bucks for a quicker, more comfortable taxi there.
Bundang was a nice area. It was still big; but seemed more quiet and simple than Seoul. We were dropped off at a beautiful park! It had a large lake in the middle of it and we had to walk along the paths to get to the bungee jump tower.

After signing our lives away on some piece of paper in Korean; we were strapped up.

After practicing our jump on a mattress, my friends volunteered me to go first. It seemed a lot higher up when I was looking down, but I went for it. It was such a thrill!! We didn’t jump from that high up, but it seemed like we were on top of the world. After a bit of nudging from Paul and Jason I finally hopped off of the platform. It is such an intense feeling – to feel like there is absolutely nothing holding you up/protecting you…..free falling is AMAZING! Eventually the cord bounced me back up..and down a few times. A guy in a boat came to un strap me. Then, I watched Paul and Jason from the bottom. It was a GREAT way to spend a Saturday!

We finished the day with a silly taxi ride that included disco lights, talking on the intercom, and Eminem being bumped by our driver!
